All collected textiles are processed by an authorised processor, Recutex NV.

Recutex NV specialises in sorting and exporting second-hand clothing since 1948. Here, more than 60,000 kilograms of textiles are processed daily and a total of more than 5,000,000 kilograms of textiles can be stored. Thanks to our years of experience and know-how of international markets (clothing and recycling), we pursue a very high reuse percentage.

In addition to holding an OVAM certification as a collector and transporter of textile waste, our group of companies has committed to obtaining certain ISO certificates. RECUTEX can demonstrate a high-quality management system in the context of the collection and transport of textiles (ISO:9001). Furthermore, every day RECUTEX makes every effort to do business as sustainably and environmentally-consciously as possible (ISO:14001)

Ninety-five percent reuse

The years of experience (since 1948), an international network, a circular entrepreneurial spirit and strict follow-up of the waste hierarchy ensure that we can present exceptional reuse figures. Up to 73% of all textiles collected are reused as clothing. We give about 22% a second life as a recycling product. The remaining 5% is no longer usable, but is reused as high-calorific waste, allowing energy to be recovered during processing.
